Right now my VPS is running SuSE 11.1, but I've noticed the same thing with the Fedora 13 build I had on it earlier. For some reason, all the kernel modules are missing from the build.

I'm trying to set up a point-to-point VPN and I need the tun.ko kernel module on my server in order to set up OpenVPN but I'd rather avoid re-compiling the kernel to get the modules.

Can we get the appropriate kernel modules in the builds? Or are they removed for some reason?

Also, I looked in /boot on the server and it doesn't look like a typical grub setup. Are there vpsville-ified instructions on installing a custom kernel?

Thanks!

The kernel is not exposed to the user.

Go to the ADVANCED section of your server control panel and use the "Create TAP/TUN Device" button.
