I've had my VPS running for quite a while now and have been quite happy with it. Recently I had one of my users ask me to add a new software package, I thought this would be simple, I did the usual apt-get stuff and ran in to a bit of a problem... it seems that Ubuntu has EOL'd Jaunty, which I'm still on, apt-get update fails, and apt-get dist-upgrade just tells me 0 packages are available...

So am I stuck having to do a full re-install, including re-installing individually all my packages and re-configuring them all? Or is there some way to get myself back on track without all the pain?
