Anyone else having issues updating the following package via yum with a Town VPS?:

filesystem.i386 2.4.0-3.el5.centos

Running rpm_check_debug
Running Transaction Test
memory alloc (134217728 bytes) returned NULL.

I've been able to skip it by appending --exclude=filesystem when updating other packages via yum but I like to keep everything on all my servers fairly current and up-to-date.

I have tried the following but it doesn't work on the VPS:

dd if=/dev/zero of=swap.bin bs=1k count=256000
mkswap swap.bin
swapon swap.bin
yum -y update
swapoff swap.bin
rm -f swap.bin

Get the following error when attempting to turn swap on:
swapon swap.bin
swapon: swap.bin: Operation not permitted

Anyone have any other suggestions?

You can upgrade your plan temporarily from the control panel, which will give you more memory for the install.

You can then downgrade again when you're done.

Upgrading doesn't incur an immediate charge, but your credit runs out faster on a higher plan until you downgrade again.
