If I have multiple VPS servers, is it possible to have private IP addresses assigned to them which they can use to communicate with each other? Also, would any data transfer which occurred between multiple VPSs using private IPs count towards the monthly limit?

Yes we can create a private LAN for you that will link all your servers. Any transfer done between your servers would not count towards your bandwidth measurements.
