After i removed Lxadmin and reinstalled Kloxo on my VPS the apache is eating up almost the entire memory even if i am the only ip accessing the server. I noticed after i reboot my VPS the memory usage remains normal for a while then the apache is eating up almost all the memory with ~ 12 processes.

apache 15851 0.0 15.8 39280 20716 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15852 0.0 6.9 29340 9044 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15854 0.0 6.8 29336 9032 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15855 0.0 14.5 37780 19100 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15856 0.0 13.7 36680 17988 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15857 0.0 14.8 38036 19488 ? S 04:43 0:01 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15858 0.0 15.9 39812 20900 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 15859 0.0 13.7 36664 17960 ? S 04:43 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 16099 0.0 13.6 36680 17956 ? S 04:44 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 16102 0.0 14.1 37488 18604 ? S 04:44 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd
apache 16103 0.0 13.6 36680 17952 ? S 04:44 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd

What do you think? What should i test/do ?

Have you tried using Lighttpd instead? It does what Apache does and it uses far less memory.

i need to have apache mod_rewrite feature, also this is getting worse today i couldn't even log-in into my kloxo cpanel, i was getting Memory Exceed errors. Seems my apache ate the entire guaranteed and burstable Ram memory.

Sounds like there is a bug in Kloxo, or your site is a lot busier than you realize. You might try the lxlabs forums for information, it may be a known problem.

i am very sure my site is not too busy, i used the netstat command to view the actual connections and even if i am the only one accessing the server the entire ram is ate by apache processes. i will try to reinstall again the kloxo, i never had such problems with lxadmin.
