Hi for the first time this year (with vpsville) I have started to receive cpanel email warnings
The first is
IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
The hostname (server.xxx.co.uk) resolves to . It should resolve to xx.xxx.xx.xx. Please be sure to correct /etc/hosts as well as the 'A' entry in zone file for the domain.
Some are all of these problems can be caused by /etc/resolv.conf being setup incorrectly. Please check this file if you believe everything else is correct.
You may be able to
automatically correct this problem by using the ' Add an A entry for your
hostname ' under ' Dns Functions ' in your Web Host Manager
However when i go to server.xxx.co.uk/whm everything seems ok???
Additionally I am getting
Subject=[checkperlmodules] The perl module DBIx::MyParsePP could not be installed
(email body)
This module is required by cPanel, and the system may not function correctly until it is installed, and functional. Below is the results of the auto-install attempt:
Test Run
==============
Installer Run
==============
commit: wrote '/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.8/CPAN/Config.pm'
CPAN: Storable loaded ok (v2.20)
Going to read /home/.cpan/Metadata
Any suggestions???
Tnx

That warning happens when the hostname of the server doesn't match what cPanel is expecting. You need to set your hostname from the VPSVille control panel to match or you'll get that warning.
As for the perl issue, we'd have to take a closer look to see whats up. Please open a support ticket about that.
