I have Ubuntu 10.04 VPS that I would like to have GUI and use it as remote desktop pc just like what we can do with Windows XP. Any ideas? I am newbie in VPS and Linux.

Hi,
Instructions for the pre-installed gnome desktop template are here:

That template is based on Debian (the mother of Ubuntu).
By default, Ubuntu server templates do not come with any graphical desktop. For that you'd need to install it yourself along with the nxserver software.
I recommend you just use the Debian template and save yourself the hassle, there isn't much difference between Debian and Ubuntu on the server side.
