Dear customer,

We are excited to report that we are upgrading our cloud offering to include higher network speeds and more generous bandwidth caps. These upgrades will take place on September 20th.

As part of this upgrade, some IP ranges in the Toronto DC are being retired.

If you are hosted in Toronto, you will shortly receive new IPs from another block. These new IPs will be on a faster network with better peering, moving from a 100mbit connection to a gigabit network connection. Your server will still function normally after the IP address switch, but you may need to alter DNS services to point to the new IPs as the old ones will cease to route to your server after the switch over.

Each IP will be replaced with a new one, so that you have the same number of IPs before and after the switch. The exact replacement IP will be sent to you in another email so you can plan ahead, if need be.

Any domains hosted on our DNS servers will be updated to reflect changed IP addresses, including reverse-dns as setup now, and we are happy to assist with any issues that may arise from the IP address changes, such as help with domain registrars or DNS entries.

If you wish to arrange an earlier time to do the IP swap, please contact support. As always, we are happy to help!
